Finally some good news: From now on our farm store with the complete range of the monastery distillery Wöltingerode and other great Harz specialties is open longer for you again. Namely:
Monday – Friday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and holiday: 10 am – 5 pm
In addition, in front of the farm store seating invites you to linger and there is coffee, cake and sandwiches to go. Ideal for a little rest at the monastery.
But that’s not all. As quiet as it has been on the rest of the monastery grounds in recent weeks and months, we are now pleased to announce important opening steps that now make a visit to us even more attractive.
Overnight stays in the monastery hotel
From now on the monastery hotel Wöltingerode can be used again for tourist overnight stays. With its particularly beautiful location in the middle of greenery and its historic architecture, our hotel is a great address for anyone who wants to explore the Harz Mountains. Initially, overnight guests with a primary or secondary residence in Lower Saxony are allowed to make a start. But we are confident that more regions will soon follow.
In order to create a testing opportunity for all guests, a dedicated Corona test center with separate entrance and exit was set up at the Klosterhotel. Here, own or locally purchased rapid tests can be performed independently under supervision in an uncomplicated manner. The employees issue test certificates about the – in the best case negative – result, which are valid for 24 hours in the entire district of Goslar.
Eating asparagus in the Klosterkrug
The test center also offers itself as a contact point for guests of the Klosterkrug Wöltingerode. As of now, public traffic is also allowed here again – even if only in the outdoor area for the time being. A negative test result is mandatory for registered guests. As a “reward”, delicious asparagus dishes, burgers, bratwurst, fresh pike perch or ice cream sundaes await the whole family. Bad weather? With extensive rain protection, the Klosterkrug team still makes sitting outside as comfortable as possible.
