There used to be more tinsel? Not at the Advent market in Wöltingerode Monastery! At 1. and 2nd Advent weekend, the popular market on our Klostergut opens its doors again and enchants all who long for classic, Christmas market hustle and bustle without carnival atmosphere and cheap goods. Lots of tinsel, candles, fir greenery and straw stars included.
The offer ranges from wonderful, handmade gift items such as doll houses, tree decorations or stuffed animals to children’s program with Secret Santa workshop, Santa Claus visit and baked bread. In addition, small artists, musicians and singers show their skills and give the Wöltingeroder Advent market a very special atmosphere.
For fans of the monastery distillery and Altenau brewery, the whole thing is a must-see anyway. Next to the Bar 1682, the WunderBar with exclusive monastery cocktails is open to visitors for the first time. In addition, the free hourly tours of the distillery allow a great insight into the creation of Wöltingeroder spirits. The subsequent tasting should not be missed by anyone who wants to give noble drops as a gift this year. Always with them: the schnapps leprechaun, who ensures good humor in front of the distillery.
